HEIC to PNG Converter
Convert HEIC photos to lossless PNG images for free. Works with iPhone photos, right in your browser with no uploads.
Runs in your browser. Files never leave your device
About HEIC to PNG Converter
Convert HEIC photos to PNG when you need a lossless copy to edit, or when an app only accepts PNG. PNG files are larger than JPG, but nothing is lost in the conversion.
The first HEIC photo takes a few extra seconds while the HEIC decoder loads (Safari opens HEIC by itself). Each photo is turned the right way up, and location data and other metadata are removed.
Your images are converted on your device and never uploaded, and you can convert many HEIC files at once.
Convert images between JPG, PNG, WebP and AVIF in a few clicks. Everything happens in your browser using fast WebAssembly encoders, so your images are never uploaded to a server.
Convert a single photo or a whole batch at once, choose the quality, and download the results one by one or together as a ZIP file.
How to use HEIC to PNG Converter
- 1Add your images: drag and drop them, click to browse, or paste from the clipboard.
- 2Choose the output format and, for JPG, WebP or AVIF, the quality.
- 3Click Convert, then download each image or all of them as a ZIP.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Conversion runs entirely in your browser, so your images never leave your device.
Which formats can I convert?
You can convert from JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC (iPhone photos), GIF (first frame) and BMP into JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF.
What happens to transparent areas when I convert to JPG?
JPG doesn't support transparency, so transparent pixels are filled with the background colour you pick. White is the default.
Is photo metadata kept?
No. Converted files don't include EXIF data such as camera details or GPS location. The photo's orientation is applied to the pixels, so it still displays the right way up.
Is there a limit on how many images I can convert?
You can convert up to 50 images at a time, up to 50 MB each. Very large images may take longer on older phones.
