About Hakoro
Hakoro is a growing collection of free online tools for everyday file jobs: converting and compressing images, merging and splitting PDFs, preparing eBooks for Kindle, and more.
The name comes from hako (箱), the Japanese word for box: Hakoro is a box of handy tools that work right in your browser.
Your files stay on your device
Most online tools upload your files to a server. Ours don't. Every tool runs inside your browser using WebAssembly and on-device AI, so your photos and documents never leave your computer or phone. It's faster too: there's no upload or download wait.
Free, with no sign-up
Because the work happens on your device, running the tools costs us almost nothing, so we can keep them free, without watermarks or accounts.
