About Resize Image
Make images exactly the size you need for a website, an online form, an email or print. Set a width and height in pixels, or scale by a percentage, and resize a whole batch at once.
Resizing happens in your browser with high-quality scaling, so your photos are never uploaded. You can keep each image's format or convert it to JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF at the same time.
How to use Resize Image
- 1Add your images: drag and drop them, click to browse, or paste from the clipboard.
- 2Choose a size in pixels or a percentage, and whether to keep the proportions.
- 3Click Resize, then download each image or all of them as a ZIP.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded?
No. Images are resized in your browser and never leave your device.
How do I keep the proportions?
Leave “Keep proportions” on. Each image is scaled to fit inside the width and height you enter, so nothing is stretched. Enter only a width, or only a height, and the other side follows.
Can I make an image bigger?
Yes: enter a larger size, or a percentage over 100. Enlarging can't add detail, so big increases look soft. Turn on “Don't enlarge small images” to only shrink images that are bigger than your size.
Which formats can I resize?
JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC (iPhone photos), GIF (first frame) and BMP. Resized images are saved as JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF. HEIC photos become JPG unless you pick another format.
Is photo metadata kept?
No. Resized images don't include EXIF data such as camera details or GPS location. The photo's orientation is applied to the pixels, so it still displays the right way up.
What's the largest size I can resize to?
Up to 16,384 pixels per side and 100 megapixels in total. Very large images need a lot of memory, so they may not work on phones.
